Bedtime buddy

The last few weeks Branson has waken up in the night and tried to get in our bed. We only have a queen size so there really isn't room for his squirmy body. We always tell him to go get back in his bed and he does. Well this morning, Maycie woke up and I went to get her. While I was walking out of our room, I heard a noise and looked under the bed. This is what I found. I'm sure glad we bought him an expensive bed for his room!! I guess the carpet under our bed is more comfortable.

24th of July

Ok, so the weather last night was PERFECT compared to last year at this time. Or maybe it was because I was 3 weeks away from delivering a baby... We had some friends over last night for ice cream cones and fireworks, and I really thought we were going to sweat to death. Yay for a fun night with fun friends!

Pine Valley

We went to Pine Valley for the weekend to stay at our friend's grandpa's cabin. It was so nice to get away from the heat!! Here is Branson and Kallie playing on the bed when we first got there and unrolled Branson's sleeping bag. He was SO excited to sleep there.

Then it was off to riding around on the golf cart. Everyone LOVED doing that part, especially Maycie.

Here is a picture of when her dad ditched her and she really wanted to go for another ride. The big kids were all riding down to the store to get a YooHoo and she wasn't invited.

Branson and Kallie played so well the whole time and loved hangin out with each other. They left Matt out a little though and that was really sad.

That was it for the first night. The kids were so excited it was hard to get them to sleep so we were ALL up really late.

The next morning we got up and went to walk around the stream and reservoir. Here is daddy and Maycie.

And our cute little family picture...

The kids sitting on the bridge.

And the pretty water

After we got back from that and had dinner, it was smore time! Everyone's favorite part.

That night the kids were beat so they went to bed by 7:30. The grown-ups stayed up and played Phase 10 for a few hours. SO FUN! We all laughed so hard. I love laughing hard late at night over nothing.

The next morning we went to church at the Pine Valley Chapel. To be honest, I was totally dreading this because church is difficult anyway, let alone being out of our routine. I am SO grateful we went though. It was really cool to have Sacrament there and the spirit was so strong. Our kids weren't as bad as I thought they would be either.

Now back to the real world after a great weekend. Thanks Randall and Amy! We love having good friends.

Family pictures

Here are a few of our favorites. Especially the one of AJ and Maycie. Thanks Natasha (photographyalamode.blogspot.com) you did a great job!!

My big girl and her big girl hair

So I decided to try putting pigtails in Maycie's hair. I could not believe it worked. She looks SO stinking cute. I love all the things I can do with her beautiful hair.

I'm sure everyone knows that Branson has his Henry he pack around and still rubs his ears for comfort. I thought I should get a picture of Maycie with her little monkey that she LOVES.

Special prayer

Today Branson and I were talking about special prayers and he said, "I can say a special prayer, Heavenly Father, please bless this bread to sanctify our bodies, we say this in Jesus Christ, Amen." I about died. I could've sworn in didn't pay a bit of attention in sacrament. I'm seriously so glad to hear that and it makes me be grateful I take him and struggle through each week, because even if we don't think our sweet spirits aren't getting anything out of it or paying attention, they are! Now I say this in Jesus Christ, Amen. :)

My little sparklers!

I am having a hard time getting these pictures in order so here they are, out of order. This is the cute face Maycie had all night watching fireworks. She was PERFECT the whole night and loved every minute of it. Oh I love her face!

Here is Branson hiding behind Maycie's stroll right at first. He wasn't sure of the loud ones at first but he did get used to them.

AJ and Jeff lighting everything off. And acting like little boys. Who are fireworks for anyway, kids or adults?

I had to get one shot of a firework going off.

Here we are at the park having a BBQ with Beth & Jeff and some of their friends. Impossible to get a picture of all of us looking at one time!

Another picture of her sweet face watching the kids play at the park.

Branson trying to play with sparklers not sure of the whole holding fire idea. And there is Garrett up by the garage trying to find a way out of here. He hated fireworks the whole time and kept saying, "all done."

And back up to the park.

Playin on the swing. Cute boy!

Another funny picture of Branson hiding. Fun day!!
